Silver ANTI-TARNISH 616+ is an organic anti-tarnish process based on nano technology. Special nano polymers get absorbed on the silver surface and crosslink to form a protective layer of a few nano-metres thickness. If Makeup Salt PLUS is additionally used and an electrical voltage is applied, the anti tarnish can be applied to the surfaces to be protected in an even better and safer way. Mainly in Asia, tons of jewellery are still being treated with anti tarnish processes containing highly toxic, ecologically harmful and inexpensive chromium(Vl) compounds (so-called chromate treatments). However, Chromium treatments are known to be carcinogenic. Anti-Tarnish 616+ therefore is safer, non-toxic, longer lasting and eco-friendly.
